Have you received the Greatest Gift?

Hello Friend,

It has been a usual practice, to give and receive gifts from friends in this holiday season. I know that you have been expecting a surprise gift from someone. Perhaps, you are expecting a gift from your circle of friends, or maybe from an old friend, or somebody that you do not know. Don’t you know that someone is thinking of you today and he wants to give you the greatest gift that you can ever receive?

What great gifts could you ever think of? An expensive piece of jewelry? A house and lot? A car? You may have all these things, but you will not own them forever. According to the Scriptures, Job said, “…Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”(Job 1:21). Paul said, “For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.”(1Tim. 6:7). If you have not received yet the greatest gift, and death will overtake you, you will forever be a loser. Jesus said, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
(Mar 8:36)

My friend, you must realize that you have a soul and such cannot be fed nor be satisfied with material things. God’s word is the food for our souls. Jesus said, “… It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” (Mat 4:4). If you do not feel hunger for God’s word, it is because of the consequence of sin. All men are sinners and the penalty of sin is death (Rom.3: 23; 6:23). The Bible states, “But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth” (1Tim. 5:6).

Paul described the sinners with a statement, “There is none righteous, no not one. There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God” (Romans 3: 10-11). However, God loves all men and He sent Jesus to die for our sins. Rom.5: 8 says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”. Jesus is the heavenly Father’s greatest gift for without Him, there can be no salvation. He paid the great price for our salvation. Hebrews 9: 22 says, “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission”.

Jesus is the true source of life. The Bible says, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6). He came to give you life eternal and abundant. Jesus said, “… I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10). Eternal salvation is God’s greatest gift. Romans 6: 23 says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

How can it be possible for sinners to receive eternal life? When you hear the good news that Christ died for your sins, was buried, and raised from the grave, and under conviction of the Holy Spirit, you humble yourself and admit that you are a lost sinner, you repent of your sins, and trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, then you obtain eternal life. (Romans 1: 16; John 16: 8). Jesus said in John 5: 24, “Verily, verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word and believeth on him that sent me hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life”.

Would you like to receive the greatest gift? Repent of your sins and trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior. (Luke 13:3). He said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” (John 6:47)

Death is certain and may come anytime. Tomorrow might be too late. (Read Heb.9: 27; Prov.27:1). Receive Jesus by faith today (Eph.2:8-9).

Truly yours,
Concerned Christian

Somebody loves you

Somebody Loves You

Dear Friend,

Hello! How’s your life? I hope that you are striving hard for success and great accomplishments. You know that life is very short and soon it will end. I believe that regardless of your condition and success in life, there is a constant battle going on within you. There are unsettled problems and unanswered questions in your heart and mind. Let me ask you some questions: Do you know the very purpose of you existence? Where will be you be after this life?

I would like to let you know that you are very precious in Gods sight. He loves you so much and He wants you to experience an abundant and eternal life (John 10:10). However, there is a big hindrance to the experiencing of such a wonderful plan God has for you. The Bible calls this SIN (Rom. 3:23). Sin has separated you from God (Isa. 59:1-2). No one can say he is without sin. All men are found guilty of sin before the eyes of God; this, all deserve death and punishment in “the lake, which burns with fire and brimstone”. ( Rev. 21:8). What a horrible torment awaits the sinner…suffering in hell for eternity.

My dear friend, it is not God’s plan to place you in hell. You must realize that because of His great love for you, He sent His only begotten Son to die on Calvary in order to save you from condemnation. Right now, He is offering salvation freely on the basis of His death on the cross (Rom. 3:24,24). You cannot save yourself by your own effort and good works (Eph. 2:8-9). The only way to be saved is by completely trusting Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord.

My friend, if you have been ignoring His love and salvation by living your life according to your own way, your are making a grave mistake. Although God is a God of love, remember that He is also a God of justice. He will surely execute judgement upon those who reject the pardon that He offered through Christ. If you die right now without Christ, the Bible teaches that you will certainly go to hell (Luke 13:3, II Peter 3:9). Life without Christ is indeed miserable. God loves you, but, if you reject Him, you will miss the joy of living with Him. Will you now let Christ reign in your life?

Sincerely yours,

Concerned Christian

Salvation and Growth

plantSalvation is instantaneous, the moment you repent of your sins and trust in Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior; However, Christian growth is a process.  2 Peter 3: 18 states:

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen”.
2 Peter 3:18 KJV

May you continue to study God’s word and grow in His grace.
